Ed Sheeran, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles were all winners at this year’s Teen Choice Awards, while drama series Riverdale dominated the honours.

The American show picked up 10 awards at the ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night, including the Choice TV drama award and actor and actress gongs for its stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse.

The CW show also took home the trophies for Choice Villain and Scene Stealer, while Vanessa Morgan was named TV Breakout Star.

Real-life couple Sprouse and Reinhart, who play characters Jughead Jones and Betty Cooper on the show, also scooped the Liplock award.

In the film categories, superhero movies such as Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War were the ones to beat, with several nominations each.

Black Panther earned the Choice Sci-Fi Movie trophy, while Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr won for Avengers: Infinity War.

High School Musical favourite Zac Efron also delighted the crowds at The Forum arena by picking up Choice Drama Movie Actor for The Greatest Showman.

The hearthrob thanked co-star Hugh Jackman as he picked up the gong, saying: “He’s my ‘Best Dramatic Actor’ and a hero and a mentor and a good friend.

“Thank you, Hugh Jackman. Thank you, Zendaya. Thank you, Zendaya. I mean, look what we did. We rewrote the stars. And that means the world to me.”

Meanwhile, the Brits were well-represented in the music categories, with Ed Sheeran’s song Perfect named Choice Song by a male artist.

Sheeran was not as lucky in the Choice Male Artist category, however, with the honour instead going to former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson.

The 26-year-old also beat the likes of Bruno Mars and Drake in the category – as well as his old bandmate Niall Horan.

Accepting the award, Tomlinson said: “My fans are the best fans in the world. They’re the most important people in this whole project. I cannot thank you enough.”

Another former bandmate, Harry Styles, was named Style Icon.

The ceremony was hosted by internet personality Lele Pons and Nick Cannon and featured performances from artists such as Khalid, Meghan Trainor and Lauv.
