THE volunteers who keep the streets of Wilmslow free of litter are celebrating their second anniversary.
Over the past two years the Wilmslow Clean Team has cleared hundreds of bags of rubbish to help ensure the town is always looking at its pristine best.
Recently, the team were handed a cheque for £540 by Waitrose, which helped recognise their selfless civic mindedness.
Team volunteer Chris Evans: “We want to thank you to Waitrose and their customers that through their support I believe that we have been given a clear mandate to get on with the job.”
