YOUNGSTERS in Wilmslow have been doing a fantastic job transforming a blank canvas into a colourful festive jumper in time for Christmas.

The Wilmslow Guardian and Wilmslow Library teamed up to offer prizes for the best designs and the entrants from Alderley Edge, Wilmslow and Handforth did not disappoint.

Guardian editor Carla Flynn said: "We were delighted to offer a prize and the artful young entrants didn't let us down with an array of festive jumpers.

"Congratulations to all of those the entered including the winners and runners up and keep a look out for future competitions in 2016."

The overall winner of a £10 book token went to Sofia Lucarini, aged 9, with runners up Sadie Amber Moore, aged 10, Oscar Sharman, aged, and Ella Aylwin, age10.
