WILMSLOW residents are invited to join the town’s firefighters for a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support Trust.

Wilmslow Fire Station, in Altrincham Road, will be open from 10am on Friday, October 7, serving a range of home-made cakes and freshly brewed tea and coffee.

Children are also welcome to the event, where safety advice will be given out to visitors.

Firefighter Chris Gowler, who is organising the coffee morning, said: “We want to welcome as many people as possible to the station on Friday, October 7.

“As well as raising money for such a worthwhile cause we will be able to chat to people about home safety and answer any questions they might have.

“It’s also a great opportunity for us to get to know our local community and, of course, for residents to get to know one another. We’re really looking forward to it.”

For more information call the station on 01625 524066.
