FIREFIGHTERS rescued a horse from a ditch in a Chorley field this morning.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue was called out to the incident in Knutsford Road shortly after 11am, with one fire engine from Wilmslow and Bollington’s animal rescue unit and accompanying fire engine sent out.
A vet was called out to sedate the horse, whose legs were stuck in the ditch, before firefighters and the animal rescue team were then able to release the animal.
