OVERNIGHT resurfacing works will take place on the A538 in Wilmslow from Monday, October 31 to Thursday, November 3.
Work will be carried out in Water Lane – from the junction with Hawthorn Street and Hall Road, to Alderley Road – between 9pm and 6am each of the four nights.
Traffic will be controlled by multi-phase signals for the duration of the works, and parking will be suspended on Water Lane while the work takes place, including the street’s parking bays.
A notice sent to residents in Water Lane from Cheshire East Council said warned of “inevitable” inconvenience while the work is being completed.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, while emergency vehicles will be given access at all times.
Traffic management officers with CCTV cameras will be present during the works to direct motorists, and access to Kennerley’s Lane will be maintained via Hawthorn Lane.
