TIME is running out for shoppers to get their Christmas cards from a host of charities at Wilmslow Library.

The Combined Charities Christmas Shop will close its doors for another year on Saturday, December 10.

Volunteers at the six Cheshire and Greater Manchester shops are well on their way to selling 250,000 cards for the year, while shoppers can also find unique stocking fillers.

Jill Dodson, from the Combined Charities Christmas Shop, told the Guardian: “The clock is ticking for the public to buy their Christmas cards from their chosen charities.

“The Christmas Shop volunteers would particularly like to thank all the staff in Wilmslow Library for making them so welcome.”

Unlike many stores which keep some profit from charity Christmas cards, every penny from the cards sold by the Combined Charities Christmas Shop goes towards the charities.

Volunteers have been running the stall since Saturday, October 29, and shoppers have until 5pm on Saturday to find the ideal Christmas card.

Shops in Macclesfield Library and Hale Library are also open until Saturday evening.
