A BOLTON dental practice has been given a clean bill of health by safety inspectors.

Haslam Park Dental, at 208 Wigan Road, was inspected in January, and according to a final report published at the end of last month they have met approval by the Care Quality Commission

The CQC reported that a comprehensive inspection of the practice held in last November found breaches of legal requirements.

After that inspection, the practice contacted the CQC to see what they would need to do to meet its legal requirements in relation to the breach.

Therefore, the latest report covers only the findings in relation to those requirements.

The service was well led in accordance with regulations and the practice had adopted a comprehensive system of clinical governance. Risks associated with legionella had been addressed. A system to ensure audits were carried out at regular intervals had been implemented, a training matrix has also been implemented to ensure all staff were up to date with training.

The practice had implemented a cleaning schedule with infection control procedures and processes had been updated and implemented and a system put in place to ensure equipment was regularly serviced in line with manufacturer's guidance.
