KEEN cyclists are invited for a ride across town this weekend.

CycleWilmslow has teamed up with Transition Wilmslow to organise its first family-friendly bike ride of the year on Saturday, May 20.

A spokesman at CycleWilmslow said: "We are excited to get our programme of rides underway for this year and hope that people of all ages can join us – perhaps after doing a spot of shopping and eating at the nearby Artisan Market.

"We hope to organise another ride to tie in with the Market in June."

The free, led ride will depart from Wilmslow Library at 2pm, with registration opening at 1.45pm.

Full details of the route and distance will be tailored to those taking part, but it will focus on quieter roads and tracks, and is not expected to exceed 90 minutes.
