WORRIED families and teachers will protest against planned Government cuts to education funding tomorrow.
The Fair Funding for All Schools group has organised a picnic in The Carrs at 4.15pm on May 26.
It is campaigning against the proposed national funding formula, which would see Cheshire East Council become the lowest-funded authority in England for state schools.
A spokesman for the group said: "Under Conservative Government proposals schools in Cheshire will lose an average of more than £517 per child, the equivalent of four teachers per school.
"Parents, teachers and children are coming together for an after-school picnic to ask the Government to reconsider."
Dozens are expected to meet up near the playground before walking into town at 4.45pm.
Parents are asked to bring a picnic, sit with their school, bring a creative placard and park legally.
