AN 18-year-old has been left 'extremely shaken' after two men allegedly assaulted and attempted to rob him near the A34 in Wilmslow.

The alleged victim, from Alderley Edge, met with a known man near to the Trust Ford garage, on the A34 at 7.30pm on Tuesday, May 30.

He was then led down an alleyway at the side of the railway where the pair were met by two other men, who allegedly assaulted and attempted to rob the victim.

DC Clare Slattery, investigating officer at the Macclesfield local policing team, now wants to trace the two men who were met in the alleyway.

She said: “Thankfully, the victim did not suffer any serious injuries and was able to flee the scene before the offenders were able to take anything.

“However, understandably, he has been left extremely shaken as a result of the incident.

“Investigations are ongoing at the current time and we are following a number of lines of enquiry.

“One man has already been arrested in relation to the incident and as part of ongoing enquiries we are now appealing to the public to help trace the two other men involved.”

The suspects are both described as being white men, in their late teens. The first is believed to be 5ft 6ins tall and the second 6ft 1ins tall, while both were both wearing dark clothing and had their hoods up.

Following the incident both men were seen fleeing the scene in the direction of Summerfield shops.

An 18-year-old man from Wilmslow has been arrested in relation to the incident, and has since been released under investigation pending further investigations.
