CREWS tackled a house fire in Alderley Edge yesterday evening, June 25.
One fire engine from Wilmslow and another from Macclesfield attended the blaze at a mid-terrace property in Heyes Lane at 6.40pm.
Firefighters – four wearing breathing apparatus – used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which was in the kitchen, on the ground floor.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: “The occupiers of the property were not in at the time of the incident and the fire is believed to have been started accidentally.
“Fire service personnel were in attendance at the property for approximately three hours and 10 minutes.”
