COMEDY club organisers are keeping their star performer a closely-guarded secret ahead of next month’s show.

The TV star who is to perform at The Coach and Four has appeared on most panel and stand-up shows, but the Wilmslow pub is remaining tight-lipped as to their identity.

The star guest is to appear at the pub’s monthly Coach Load of Comedy night on Thursday, September 7, which is expected to be a sell-out evening.

“The mystery TV star performer is booked under strict secrecy, and only a handful of people know who it is,” said Coach and Four business and marketing manager Ella Brookbanks.

“They are very popular, incredibly funny and well known on the comedy circuit.

“We want people to have a fantastic experience - a surprise if you will.

“So much is shared on social media now - so much is known, and we want to bring a little excitement to your evening.

“We expect this show to be a sell-out, and people need to get their tickets in anticipation that there will be none on the door.

“As always, the event will be compered by Mike Newall and brought to a close by our fabulous mystery guest.

“The evening will be a treat for our diehard fans and a night to remember for newbies.

“Trust me - I have a trustworthy face - you do not want to miss this!”

Comedy nights are held on the first Thursday of every month, and regularly attract audiences of between 40 and 50, with people travelling from Manchester, Northwich, Congleton, and as far as Liverpool.

Tickets are £6, with doors opening at 8pm and the show starting at 8.45pm. For tickets call 01625 525046 or ask behind the bar.

The Coach and Four is in Alderley Road.

The pub’s comedy club is in its 14th year, and comedy fans are urged not to miss out on what promises to be a memorable evening.
