CHILDREN enjoyed hearing a classic children's story today at Aldeli in Alderley Edge as part of celebrations for National Roald Dahl Day.
The Wilmslow Road coffee shop and deli hosted Storytime with Miss Honey – alias Ella Jane Brookbanks – to celebrate the special day.
"I read Esio Trot, told the children all about Roald Dahl and the importance of reading and having a creative spark," said Ella.
"They were a fantastic audience - we had children aged between 18 months and five years old enjoying the free event, and we will of course be celebrating again next year.
“Thanks to the parents who were able to come along - I was pleasantly surprised and so thrilled with the turnout at such short notice."
The event was aimed at pre-school children, and there were free chocolates and sweets.
