RESIDENTS are being invited to have their say on the first draft of the Handforth Neighbourhood Plan.

Handforth Parish Council approved the First Draft Plan on Tuesday, allowing it to move to the next stage of public consultation.

The plan will be made available for public consultation for six weeks from Monday, October 16 to Monday, November 27.

The Draft Plan will be available for inspection electronically on handforthnplan.org and cheshireeast.gov.uk/planning/neighbourhood_plans/handforth-neighbourhood-plan.

For those wishing to discuss elements of the plan the parish clerk will be holding drop-in sessions at the youth centre between 10am and midday on Monday, October 23, and between midday and 2pm on Wednesday, November 1.

A hard copy of the draft plan will be available for inspection in Handforth Library and at the youth centre.

Written representations regarding the plan must be made by Monday, November 27 using the forms provided as hard copy in Handforth library and in the parish clerk’s office or electronically on the two above websites.

When making a representation each comment should be made using a separate copy of the form.

Representations regarding the Draft Plan will be used to amend the document before its submission to Cheshire East Council for Regulation 16 consultation.

The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group thanked all those individuals and organisations which have contributed to the writing of the First Draft Plan.

It also wished to acknowledge financial support in the form of a grant from My Community/Locality.
