PUB manager Caroline Terrington is promising scary fun for all the family on Saturday at The Plough and Flail.

The Mobberley pub is hosting Spooky Halloween Mania in association with Cheshire Socialities.

The evening will include a raffle in aid of the Kirsty Club, a charity which supports the Francis House Children’s Hospice.

Cheshire Socialities MD Joanna Scott-Aspray, from Wilmslow, is a patron to the charity.

Saturday’s spooky evening will include a Halloween quiz, spooky meadow hunt (weather permitting), games and face paints.

There will be a prize for the best-dressed outfit and psychic readings by Beverley Anne Freeman, who featured on TV’s Real Housewives of Cheshire.

The event starts at 6pm and goes on until late, with live music from Strong Medicine, who will be playing throughout the evening. Entry is free.

Caroline Terrington said: “Join us for live music, dancing, glitter and face paints, games and spooky goings-on.

“All children will receive a goody bag to take home, and we look forward to hosting a scaremongering evening - everyone is welcome, young and old.

Joanna Scott-Aspray said: “We’re excited to be associated with The Plough and Flail and the Halloween Mania Party.

“There’s lots going on for the children, while the adults can relax, enjoy the live music and have a few drinks.

“I’m a patron to The Kirsty Club, a wonderful charity close to my heart, and we continue to fundraise in memory of the spearhead Kirsty Howard, who passed away nearly two years ago.

“Kirsty was a patient at Francis House, and had an exceptionally rare heart condition, but defied her prognosis for more than 14 years.

“She was our inspiration and the driving force behind a campaign which had raised more than £7.5 million at the time of her passing.

“Today, the campaign continues more determined than ever to build on Kirsty’s legacy by expanding and improving the facilities at the hospice.

“A £3.5 million extension was opened in 2014, aimed at caring for teenagers and young adults, but we musn’t stop there, and with the public’s help we can achieve so much more.”
