JOANNA Scott-Aspray is raising awareness of a cause close to her heart at a Dog's Dinner and Tea Party this month.

Joanna is MD of Cheshire Socialities, which is staging the event at The Plough and Flail pub at Mobberley on Saturday, November 18.

There will be a full tea party, treats, stalls and doggie goodie bags to take home.

There will also be a raffle in aid of the International Aid for the Protection and Welfare of Animals (IAPWA), a UK registered charity dedicated to creating a better future for animals in need.

Joanna said: "I'm thrilled to be able to introduce the IAPWA to Cheshire, and look forward to working with them and raising awareness as this is a charity that has inspired me and their cause is very close to my heart.

"This one of its kind event is a few weeks away, and we have some wonderful furry guests attending. The event is sponsored by Barkers of Wilmslow.

"We still have room for a few more, and we're also looking for anyone who would like a stall.

"The afternoon is for all the family, with games, activities and food for your dog, as well as activities for the children.

"You can also attend the afternoon to socialise and meet new friends even if you don't own a dog, have a drink from the 'in the dog house' bar or grab a bite.

"There's also a raffle for the amazing animal charity, IAPWA, and a prize for the best outfit sponsored by The Cheshire Magazine.

"Whatever you do, it's going to be a feel-good afternoon, and we hope you can join us."

The event is ticket only, at £20 per dog - the price includes dog food, drink, activities and games. Entrance is free if you want to watch or bring guests.

The event runs from 3pm to 6pm, and tickets are available from cheshiresocialites.co.uk
