WILMSLOW physiotherapy practise Harris and Ross and Cheadle Hulme School have formed a Wilmslow Half Marathon team to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
The team has been inspired to take part by student Callum Ballantine, who devoted the last year of his life to raising money for the Trust.
The team got to know each other at an event at Harris and Ross’ Wilmslow clinic.
They were joined by GB athlete, Olympian and world and European medallist Jenny Meadows.
Team captain Jeff Ross said: “We are really proud to be part of the half marathon squad.
“We’re looking forward to facing the challenge together, and raising lots of money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
“We are pleased to offer our physiotherapy services to the team throughout the training process from physio to sports massage and gait analysis.”
Charlotte Still, CHS external relations, said: “We are running in honour of students and former students of CHS who are battling or have lost their battles with cancer.
“Inspired by student, Callum Ballantine, who devoted the last year of his life to raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust, we will be donating all money raised to this worthwhile charity.
“The team’s current target is £1,000, but we’re hoping to go above and beyond this.”
