RESTAURANT bar general manager Ella Jane Brookbanks has described as ‘incredible’ the reaction to the new Wilmslow business.

Suburban Green opened on Monday in Hawthorn Lane, and employs 15 people.

“The reaction from people has been nothing short of incredible,” said Ella.

“In the four days since opening we have had more than 30 five-star reviews on our Facebook page, and the Instagram and Twitter pages have seen incredible interactions with the community and social media influencers.

“Everyone who has walked through our door has been greeted by myself or Martin Lowe the owner, and we have spoken to, taken feedback from and shown around every customer.

“We’ve had amazing feedback from the public and Wilmslow residents, town councillors, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, business owners, and a few well-known TV faces have all commented, written in and shared their praise on local blogging sites and our social media platforms.

“I have responded to each of them, and we have been immensely grateful for every bit of feedback, constructive critiques and praise.

“We aim to create a very relaxed, trendy atmosphere, with chilled, acoustic jazz sounds during the day and a more upbeat feel in the evening.

“We will have live music and musicians from time to time - and want to support local groups as much as possible.”

Suburban Green is open Monday to Thursday 11am to 11pm, on Friday from 11am to 1am, Saturday 10am to 1am and Sunday 10am to 11pm, and offers weekend brunch from 10am to 1pm.
