HOLIDAYS and lunches are some of the activities organised by Wilmslow Bollin Probus Club, which is seeking to attract new members.
The club was started in the 1970s, and meets at The Morley Green Social Club in Mobberley Road twice a month, on the first and third Thursday, at 10am for 10.30am.
“Are you retired, or about to do so? Enjoy yourself and keep your mind active by the joining the Wilmslow Bollin Probus Club,” said club secretary John Yarnall.
“We meet twice monthly, with talks about history, science, humour and beyond, enhanced by a lively audience, with a bar opened at the end of the meeting.
“Wives benefit from social events, and by getting us from under their feet.”
The club also organises five social events a year, a holiday, a day out and informal, ladies and members lunches.
Club members come from Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Handforth and further afield, including Siddington, Prestbury and Styal.
The first two meetings are free, and if you are interested in joining the club or finding out more call Mr Yarnall on 01625 524750.
