DETECTIVES are appealing for the public’s help in their investigation into the second robbery at a Subway store in five months.

Two masked men entered the Subway at Summerfield’s Village Centre on Dean Row Road, Wilmslow, at about 7.50pm on Saturday, January 6, through the main entrance.

Once inside the men entered the staff area and threatened a member of staff, demanding they open the safe.

The men then stole cash from the safe before fleeing the scene.

The suspects were wearing dark clothing.

The robbery was the second at the store in five months, following one in September at almost the same time in the evening.

Det Sgt Angela Coppock said: “Investigations in relation to this incident are in their early stages, and we are following a number of lines of enquiry, including examining CCTV footage and forensics.

“As part of my inquiries I'm keen to hear from anyone who believes they have any information which could assist with our investigation.

“Summerfield’s Village Centre is a busy shopping centre, and I believe there will have been a number of people present at the time of this incident who may hold vital information.”

Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 679 of January 6.

In September a man armed with a knife entered the store at 8pm, threatened staff with the knife and demanded they hand over the cash from the till. He then ran out, taking with him a quantity of cash.
