THE Wilmslow Green Room Theatre has announced its latest production. The group will be performing The Weir, by Conor McPherson, from March 17 to 24, directed by Hamish Lawson.
Set in a remote country pub in Ireland, The Weir is a spooky tale that combines local folklore, sexual tension and supernatural goings-on thanks to newcomer Valerie.
Written by McPherson in 1997, the play was first produced at the Royal Court Theatre Upstairs in London and has since been performed across the world.
The play contains adult themes and strong language. Running time is approximately one hour 40 minutes without an interval, and the performance on March 20, 22 and 24 (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) will be followed by a post-show discussion involving the director and cast. Audience members are encouraged to stay and participate in the discussion.
Tickets are available at wgrsoc.org.uk or on 01625 540933
