ALDERLEY and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company have announced that their show for 2018 will be Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

The company are encouraging members of the public to sign up for auditions.

Alderley and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company (AWMTC) are one of only a handful of theatre societies to have the chance to perform Andrew Lloyd Webber’s show in its full, unabridged version.

Tina Spiers, chairman of AWMTC, said: “We're really excited to have been chosen to put on Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. It's the first time ever that an adult amateur company has been granted performance rights for the whole, unabridged adult version of the show. Only a handful of societies across the UK have been offered it.”

The show will be performed at the Evans Theatre from November 6 to 10. Auditions are being held on Sunday April 22. To book an audition or find out more, email tina.awmtc@gmail.com or visit awmtc.co.uk
