Now the Peaky Blinders are influencing people’s favourite tipples.

Arley Hall and Gardens – which was used by film crews as the home of Tommy Shelby who was played by Cillian Murphy in the BBC drama – is selling Peaky Blinders’ rum, whiskey and gin.

General manager Steve Hamilton said: “We underestimated how popular it would be because our stock ran out in just a couple of weeks and that was during our quiet season. Now we are fully open for spring and summer we expect them to be flying off the shelves.”

Much of series three and four of the BAFTA-winning show was filmed at Arley Hall with the cast – including Tom Hardy and Helen McCrory – filming key scenes in the Library, Gallery and outside.

Series five, believed to be the last, is also expected to be filmed at Arley. Tommy is regularly seen sipping whiskey in Peaky Blinders and a key thread to the storyline in the last series revolved around the Shelby family’s gin production. Sadler’s, a Black Country brewery originally founded in 1900, once supplied 12 tied public houses believed to have been frequented by the real Peaky Blinders.
