FIREFIGHTERS had to cut a man free from his car after he crashed into a building in Knutsford Road last night.

Emergency services were called to Knutsford Road at just before 10.30pm.

Firefighters cut the man free and paramedics attended to the man while police closed off the nearby roads.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: “One man was trapped in a car after it collided with a building on Knutsford Road.

“Paramedics stabilised the casualty as firefighters carried out an extrication of the man. They then made the vehicle safe.

“Roads nearby were closed and a dangerous buildings inspector was called to check structural damage on the affected property.”
