WILMSLOW Clean Team have announced the town’s annual Spring Clean event, which will take place between Wednesday, April 4 and Sunday, April 8.
This is the fifth annual spring clean and the fourth to be organised by the Clean Team.
The scheduled litter picks will be on Wednesday, April 4 at 10am; Thursday, April 5 at 6.30pm; Saturday, April 7 at 10am; Sunday, April 8 at 2pm.
There will also be a social evening at The Horse and Jockey from 7.30pm on Thursday, April 5.
A spokesperson for the group said: “We are holding a social evening where our volunteers can get together to unwind after all our hard work.
“Volunteers, including newcomers, will be welcome to help out at our four events. Newcomers are also welcome to the social evening if they want to meet the Clean Team and find out more about our work.”
The Clean Team have also revealed that, in 2018 alone, they have collected 151 bags of rubbish, taking their total up to 2,182 bags since the team started doing their twice-monthly litter picks in October 2013.
