A HOUSE has been evacuated in Kings Road, Wilmslow, due to an unsafe gable end.
Firefighters were called to the house at around 10.40am today, Tuesday, April 17, over concerns for the property.
On arrival, the crews found the unsafe structure swaying in the wind. A cordon has been set up around the area and an adjoining property has been evacuated for safety.
Firefighters are standing by, waiting for a building inspector from Cheshire East Council to attend and assess the structure.
UPDATE:
A building inspector is now in attendance and has arranged for a scaffolding firm to remove the gable end to a safe height.
Fire crews are to remain on-site until the firm arrives.
