A TASTE of Hollywood is coming to Cheshire.
The Alderley and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company (AWMTC) are putting on two ‘Music from the Movies’ events to raise funds for their main show in November.
The showcases will feature songs from the big screen, including ensemble numbers from The Lion King, James Bond and The Greatest Showman, as well as solo and group numbers from other much-loved films.
‘Music from the Movies’ is to raise funds for AWMTC’s show in November – Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
Tina Spiers, chair of AWMTC, said: “We’re really excited to have been chosen to put on Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. It’s the first time ever that an adult amateur company has been granted performance rights for the whole, unabridged version of the show. Only a handful of societies across the UK have been offered it.”
‘Music from the Movies’ is on Saturday, May 12 at 7.30pm and Sunday, May 13, at 2.30pm at Mottram St Andrews Village Hall. Tickets are £10 and available from awmtc.co.uk or by calling 07506 988433
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat will be performed at the Evans Theatre from November 6 to 10. Tickets can be booked via awmtc.co.uk or by calling 07506 988433
