A HOMEOWNER was taken to hospital following a house fire in Handforth.
Emergency services were called at around 6pm on Friday, May 18 to Pickmere Road following reports of a house fire.
On arrival crews found that the fire involved a first floor bedroom of a maisonette property.
One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and were taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames and crews remained at the scene for around one hour.
