FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a tree stump being on fire in the open in Alderley Edge.
At around 8.55pm on Monday, May 21, in Mottram Road, fire crews were called to extinguish the fire, which is believed to have been started by discarded smoking materials.
The crew used water to put out the fire and were at the scene for around 15 minutes.
