WITNESSES are being sought after a gang threatened to stab a man unless he handed over his Cartier watch.

The incident happened outside the Revolution bar in Alderley Road, Wilmslow at 3.15am on Saturday, June 2.

The 22-year-old victim was walking down an alleyway next to the bar when he was approached by four men from behind and placed in a headlock.

The men threatened to stab him unless he handed over his Cartier watch, which he did.

One of the men is described as black, six feet tall, well-built and was wearing a baseball cap and glasses.

The second man is described as black, approximately five feet 10 inches tall, of slim build and was wearing a red check shirt, possibly with a T-shirt underneath and had distinctive braided afro hair.

The offenders are then thought to have driven off in a silver saloon car.

Det Sgt Shane Owens said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim who was heading home after enjoying a night out, and was set upon by four other men and threatened.

“We are asking for anyone who may have seen the group of men that night, or witnessed the incident, to come forward and speak to us.
