TRAVELODGE is recruiting 400 staff as it gears up for a busy summer season.

More than 10 of these jobs are up for grabs at hotels across Cheshire.

The chain has hotels in Northwich, Middlewich, Warrington, Knutsford M6 Services, Chester and Cheshire Oaks.

In Cheshire, the search is on to find a hotel manager and supervisor plus people to work in housekeeping, reception and various other positions.

The vacancies are full and part-time and could suit parents and students.

Travelodge has helped people from all walks of life to re-ignite their career.

The group also operates a successful in-house management development programme called Aspire which has enabled thousands of colleagues to hone their skills and move into management.

Two new levels have been introduced offering formal qualifications and apprenticeships.

This comprehensive programme provides an opportunity for hotel and maintenance staff to progress to manager level, irrespective of background on educational attainment.

The group is also looking expand its in-house maintenance team to support its 579 hotels across the country.

These full time positions are field based and each maintenance engineer has their own designated network of hotels to service.

Applicants must hold a UK driving licence, experience is not essential, however a background of working in a trade environment is preferable or a City & Guilds qualification equivalent.

Successful candidates will be given a branded kitted-out vehicle to enable them to travel across their network of hotels and they will also receive a branded uniform and high quality tools.

Travelodge opened its first budget hotel in 1985 and today operates nearly 600 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain, employing more than 12,000 people.
