A WANTED man has been caught by police.
Samual Rainey was stopped by officers on the M6 Northbound over the weekend after being wanted by Staffordshire Police on suspicion of assault.
That allegation has since been withdrawn however 31-year-old Rainey has now been charged with driving without a licence.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At 10.30am on Saturday (March 9) officers from North West Motorway Police Group spotted a white Hyundai IX35 driving on the M6 northbound near junction 20 which had a police marker on it.
“Officers stopped the car and arrested a 31-year-old man who was wanted by Staffordshire Police.
“The allegation in Staffordshire has since been withdrawn.
“However, the man has been charged with driving without a licence.”
Rainey, of Knightley Court in Gnosall, Staffordshire, is due to appear at North Staffordshire Magistrates on Wednesday (May 1).
