A MAN has been accused of smuggling drugs into a women’s prison.
Stephen Jones will stand trial after denying a trio of offences.
The 49-year-old is alleged to have tried to bring a quantity of heroin into HMP Styal on February 6, 2022.
Then, on August 29, 2022, Jones reportedly brought heroin and Subutex, an opioid, into the jail near Wilmslow.
He appeared at Chester Crown Court on Friday (April 19) and pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
Jones, of Fford Coed Marion in Caernarfon, will return to the court on the week commencing April 21, 2024, for the trial.
