A WOMAN was tragically found dead at home in Knutsford by her parents, an inquest has heard.

Laura Kilmartin, 38, was discovered unresponsive on the floor of a lounge at The Shambles on March 22, this year.

Two large empty bottles of vodka were found beside her, Cheshire Coroner’s Court in Warrington was told on Wednesday.

Victoria Davies, area coroner, opened the inquest.

Mrs Kilmartin was born in Liverpool and her maiden name was Hayley.

Her occupation was unknown.

Mrs Kilmartin had suffered falls and seizures as a result of alcohol addiction, the hearing was told.

A post mortem examination report and toxicology report were submitted as part of the evidence.

The coroner confirmed it was a ‘unnatural’ death.

After reaching a conclusion the cause of Mrs Kilmartin’s death was serious alcohol intoxication, the coroner offered her sincere condolences to her family for their loss.
