CHAFES Solicitors has appointed Daniel Woodcock as associate and head of commercial property.

Mr Woodcock joins Chafes from Turner Parkinson, having previously spent ten years at DLA Piper.

Describing himself as a commercial property ‘all-rounder’, Daniel has a clear vision to grow what is already a well-established commercial property team.

He said: “With offices in Wilmslow, Alderley Edge and New Mills, Chafes is in prime locations to serve a growing number of property investors and developers, as well as providing legal advice to a wide range of other commercial property clients across Manchester and Cheshire.

“I have particular expertise in advising on residential development, secured lending, distressed property, commercial and retail leasing, property investment and corporate support work. As an all-rounder I bring a wealth of contacts, including investors, developers, agents, lenders and other intermediaries.

"This will benefit Chafes’ clients and will help us grow this department in the coming years.”

Mike Travis, commercial conveyancing partner at Chafes, said: “Daniel has the experience of working in a global law firm combined with a down-to-earth and approachable personality that is a perfect fit for Chafes and its clients.

“Daniel’s vast property experience and network of connections will be a huge asset for our firm and the commercial property team in particular.”

Chafes Solicitors provides commercial and personal legal services. It is currently looking to appoint a team leader for the growing investment property team in Alderley Edge.
