A WILMSLOW-BASED marketing consultancy firm is celebrating after being shortlisted for two prestigious awards.

Mackenzie Marketing, in Alderley Road, is up for the Federation of Small Business micro Business of the Year award, and the Talk of Manchester Full Service Marketing Agency of the Year award.

The company has grown in 2016 with a new office, a new marketing executive in Natalie Tzitzas, and several new clients, including Heddy’s restaurant in Water Lane and Talent HR and Recruitment in Alderley Road.

Catherine Mackenzie, managing director of Mackenzie Marketing, is hoping the firm can now top “quite a year” off by scooping the two prizes.

“We work with clients to help them grow their businesses, but at the end of last year we started to really focus on growing our own business too,” she said.

“We are really pleased to have been recognised for the work we have been doing both for clients and for our own business, through being shortlisted for these two awards.”

Mackenzie Marketing is one of four Wilmslow firms to be nominated in this year’s Talk of Manchester awards.

Talent HR and Recruitment leads the way with two nominations, for HR Consultancy of the Year and Recruiter of the Year.

Katie Bancroft, managing director of Talent, said: “It's great to have been nominated for not one, but two prestigious Talk of Manchester awards.

“We are delighted to have been recognised for offering both HR and recruitment services.”

Castletons Accountants, in Kennerley’s Lane, is also up for Accountancy Practice of the Year, while Review Travel, in Wilmslow Road, Handforth, has been nominated for Business Travel Company of the Year.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Manchester’s Mercure Piccadilly Hotel on Thursday, December 1.
