The Ryleys School has launched a new and exciting scholarship scheme with the aim to celebrate and reward excellence, allowing those children who wish to join the school, to further their talents.

The scholarships will be available for children in years 3 and above and will be in academia, sport, music and drama. Scholarships at The Ryleys are very much sought after and the children who are rewarded scholarship places can take advantage of the school’s outstanding teaching, educational expertise and excellent facilities within the school.

The deadline in which to apply for a scholarship is January 8, 2016 at 4pm. There will be an assessment day taking place on 8th February, 2016 for children applying for scholarships in all disciplines.

The academic assessment will include written tests in English (creative writing and comprehension) and maths, along with a teacher review and assessment of overall performance in the classroom. The drama, music and sport scholarships will be awarded on the basis of teacher assessment on the day.

Children who are awarded scholarships will be entered into our ‘Scholars Programme’ and will enjoy learning enhancement activities and outings, plus a reduction in school fees. This prestigious award is also looked upon favourably by other schools when transferring at 11+.

Headteacher, Mrs Claire Hamilton, said: “The Ryleys believes in giving every opportunity for children to reach their full potential and discover their unique talents, in whatever discipline that may be.

“Our prestigious scholarship programme is a fantastic opportunity for children with drive and ambition to experience educational excellence and for their commitment and discipline to be exemplary for the younger children within our school.”
