TEAM GB women's 4x400m relay squad won a bronze medal in the penultimate race inside the Olympics Stadium in Rio this morning, but Wilmslow's Seren Bundy-Davies was not involved.

After her disappointing exit from the 400m by finishing last in her heat with her slowest time for two years, the 21-year-old former Wilmslow High School student was not selected for the relays in the two races contested.

This is despite her anchor role in the team's gold medal at the European Championships last month and bronze at the World Championships in Beijing in 2015.

Team GB made one change for the final, with Kelly Massey being replaced by Bundy-Davies' roommate Eilidh Doyle.

Together with Anyika Onuora, Emily Diamond and Christine Ohuruogu, Team GB finished third behind gold medal winners USA and silver side Jamaica with a time of 3:25.88.
