GOLFING prodigy Daniel Hayes has made his mark north of the border after he took his talents to one of the world’s most famous courses.
The 9-year-old Pownall Hall School pupil took part in the Wee Wonders tournament at the prestigious St Andrews course.
His gross scores over the two rounds were 79 and 69, with his second-round score making him the youngest ever player to shoot a 69 in the competition.
As a result, Daniel’s handicap has been reduced to 14.8 and his third-placed finish was enough to secure him a spot at next year’s tournament.
