In Division Two Owen Trainor was the only player to reach level par ahead of David Jones and Gavin Jamieson, both -1.

An ‘Open to All’ Sunday stableford at Styal had Robert Coatham in charge with 39 points ahead of Gary Matthews, 38, and John Molloy and David Massey, both 37.

Styal captain Kevin Bocquet showed his class in the latest Seniors Winter League with a good haul of 43 points taking him home from Gordon Hamilton, 41, and Harry Reid and David Bate, both 40.

Styal ladies were also in Winter League action with Sue Grange top of the shop with 28 points from Enid Laverty, 27, and Joan MacPherson and Claire Whitney, both 26.

Alderley Edge ladies enjoyed a ‘Chicken Run’ stableford which was led in by Barbara Moss with 33 points from Julie Ricketts and Lisa Burns, both 31, and Celia Berent, 30.

Wilmslow’s men played the first round of their Winter League betterball stableford and setting the early pace were Alan Marcus and Andrew Marr with 46 points from Joseph Wee and Anthony O’Rourke, 45, and Michael Charlton and Jon Bean 44.
