Coutts cuts up the field in men’s medal event
A MEN’S medal event at Wilmslow Golf Club was won by Brian Coutts with a stunning nett 64.
He finished ahead of Anthony O’Rourke, 65, Iain Perkins, 66, and Jamie Stewart and Michael Charlton, both 67.
Alderley Edge’s men played round four of the Simister Cup and it was won by Alex Campbell with 23 points, three more than John Newsham.
Edge professional Charle le Sueur and the club’s captain played a thriller in the Winter League against Ken Hall and Tom Ricketts.
It went to the final hole, which Charles birdied to halve the match and take them into a final second place in the league.
The winners were the combo of Featherstone/Wood/ Broughton and Yakub.
