IT was tight at Alderley Edge Golf Club in the rearranged sixth round of the Simister Cup.
A card play-off on 36 points was won by Michael Davies from Chris Edwards and Gary Johnstone.
The hotshots were out in Division One of a Saturday stableford at Styal Golf Club.
They were led by James Lowe with 45 points from Simon Geddis, 42, and Khalil Musa, 41.
In Division Two, Brian Appleby was out on his own with 41 points, five more than David Graham Jones.
A Sunday ‘open to all’ stableford was won by Jonathan Cosgrove after a cpo on 42 points allowed him to pip James Skivington, while Keith Dawson was two points behind.
Wilmslow Golf Club’s men were in medal mode and Simon Weaver was top of the shop with 65.
Hot on his heels were Michael Caine, 66, matched by Alan Marcus, and Jack Dunlop, 67.
