THREE Wilmslow High School football teams have won Macclesfield and District Cup competitions.

The under 14s and under 16s defeated All Hallows, while the under 13s overhauled Fallibroome Academy.

Conditions were testing for the under 14s game at All Hallows and the under 13s encounter at Wilmslow.

The second-half performance was particularly impressive as All Hallows were beaten 3-0.

Joe Lomas was man of the match after a string of fantastic saves, while Kyle Campbell, Gabriel Araujo and Lilian Samba produced the all-important goals.

There was snow, hail, rain and thunder for the under 13s to overcome as well as their Fallibroome opponents.

But they did so in style, running out 7-1 winners.

Striker Dan Rodriguez helped himself to four goals, while Lewis Bostock scored a hat-trick and had a hand in a couple of the others.

The final junior football match at the high school for the under 16s proved to be a fruitful one.

The match was tight in the first half, with the Wilmslow boys spurning a host of early chances and turning around for the second half with the score tied at 2-2.

In the second half their quality on the ball proved to be the difference as they went on to win 6-3.
