LINDOW'S seconds eased to a comfortable six-wicket win at Weaverham.

Skipper Rowan Day opened the bowling and was soon among the wickets, reducing the home team to 10 for 3.

At the other end Sam Walker was bowling a hostile spell that despite going unrewarded in terms of wickets was causing a great deal of consternation and uncertainty among the home batsmen.

After a superb display of fast-medium bowling, Walker was replaced by leg spinner Matt Ramsden who recovered from a shaky start to claim four victims and help despatch Weaverham for 105.

Matt Ramsden, 27, Ian Park, 25, and Rob Venables, 29, ensured there were no scares on the way to victory.
