LINDOW achieved a credible draw against Romiley with Osman Butt shining with the bat.
Romiley were 54 for 0 before Jahangir Mushtaq claimed two wickets in his first over of the Cheshire County Cricket League Division Two encounter.
Lindow kept picking up wickets, with Ben Tyler taking 4 for 68, but the runs continued at a good rate leaving Romiley on 245 for 9 at tea.
Ryan O’Brien, 54, and Butt, 87, gave Lindow the perfect chance to chase down the total.
At 148 for 1 Lindow needed seven runs an over from the last 20, but losing regular wickets meant Mushtaq, 29 not out, had to see the team home for a draw on 210 for 8.
