CHESHIRE recorded their third Unicorns Knockout group victory when they beat Herefordshire by 151 runs in a rain-reduced game at Alderley Edge on Sunday.
The group will be settled when Cheshire take on Staffordshire at Knypersley in a vital final outing on Sunday, but a quarter-final place at least is already ensured.
In a match reduced to 45 overs each by rain, Cheshire did well to total 261 for 6, with home player Calum Rowe scoring 68, Rick Moore, 51, Wayne White, 42, and wicket-keeper James Seward, 31.
Hereford were then bowled out for 110 in 27 overs, leg-spinners Jack Williams taking 4 for 17 and Rob Jones 2 for 19 as well as Ollie Freckingham getting in on the act with 2 for 38.
