WILMSLOW Golf Club lady captain Elizabeth Black was delighted with the response to a fun mixed event she organised.
She said: “The event was titled ‘Golf and Giggle’ and the format was that an existing member played with a novice, providing a great variety of combinations!
“The member got the ball from the tee onto or close to the green and the novice then putted.
“But on a very forward tee on the sixth hole the novice played all of the shots and groans and giggles could be heard all round.
“The dress was trainers, no jeans, so it was then straight to the clubhouse for drinks and lunch where simple prizes were presented and any money left over went to the lady captain’s charities.
“By popular request it will be repeated on October 29.”
