Braybrook shines in Glasgow
WILMSLOW High School sixth-form student Mathew Braybrooke, 17, finished second in the under 20s category of the British National Sprint Triathlon Championships in Glasgow.
The Wilmslow Running Club and Knutsford Triathlon Club competitor completed a 750m open water swim, 20k bike race and 5k run in 1hr 3mins, just six seconds shy of a win and finished 10th overall from a field of 500 across all age groups.
The success provides qualification to the 2018 European Championships.
Next stop for Braybrooke is the English National championships in London.
