WILMSLOW'S Millie Turner is convinced she can improve as a player with Vixens Bristol City Women and has signed a new deal.

The former Wilmslow High School and Everton midfielder's fresh terms come on the back of an outstanding opening spell down south and success with England Under 23s this summer.

Turner joined Bristol prior to the Spring Series and was ever present throughout.

She also played in every game as England Under 23s won the Nordic Tournament recently.

The 21-year-old says she is excited to continue developing under the guidance of Willie Kirk.

“It’s fantastic to get the contract sorted before the start of the season,” added Turner.

“I came here to play regular football and I have done that.

"I really appreciate the faith the manager has put in me. I want to continue to develop as a player and I feel that this club is the best place for me to do that.”

City Women manager Kirk is delighted that Turner is staying with the Vixens.

He said: “When I signed Millie I was excited by her potential.

"She was one of our most consistent players during the Spring Series and I’m looking forward to overseeing her development further in the future.

“We have a great culture at the club that Millie really buys into.

"She’s a big character in the dressing room and always has a smile on her face, and I want people like her around to continue to drive this club forward.”
